About This Blog

My goal in creating this anti-bullying and anti-hate website is to turn an emotionally, professionally, and financially costly personal ordeal into a positive learning lesson for ALL.

In view of the national epidemic of academic bullying, especially cyber-bullying, by certain faculty and staff members across the nation, this blog is intended to allow the victims of such attacks an opportunity to express their positions, share their stories, post relevant resources, and offer recommendations in a highly collegial, factual, and respectful manner.

According to the American Association of University Professors,

“As colleagues, professors have obligations that derive from common membership in the community of scholars. Professors do not discriminate against or harass colleagues. They respect and defend the free inquiry of associates, even when it leads to findings and conclusions that differ from their own. Professors acknowledge academic debt and strive to be objective in their professional judgment of colleagues. Professors accept their share of faculty responsibilities for the governance of their institution.”

I invite you to post your comments and personal stories in any section of this website.  Together, we can promote peace, justice, collegiality, professionalism, civility, and mutual respect in the academy across the nation.  It goes without saying that universities are our only bastions of hope for a better and more harmonious future.  We should not allow the Bullies–with their own self-serving and sinister agendas– to monopolize and suffocate our campus communities!
